el tour de Tucson 11/21/09
Rode the 35 mile El Tour today on the single speed.
Actually I rode out of downtown and had Poppy pick me up on 4th ave cuz it was just to crowded @the T.c.c.
So Stats as folows

It was a good time
Road with team Walgreens.
It was a pretty mellow ride and my bike and back feel great.
Even though I rode the sinlge speed my legs feel suprisingly fresh.

flag day 2
so Wednesday -ran Little America loop again-20'44"97
Ate @ the Black Bean and again walked around dowtown-The Black bean was amazing!
Went to Buffalo Park and Popy and Zane rested in the Jeep while I put in a run.
Ran out to pipeline then oldham,easy oldham,then soggy bottom trail, started heading back toward buffalo and some how ran past the park and ended up coming out into a residential area.
I started heading back(in the wrong direction) on the city streets when I came across a road biker and asked directions.
He got me turned around in the right direction and I managed to make it back to the park -total run time 1'00"05.
Drove home from flag and got unpacked-decided to run the Lakeside loop-25'11"53

Then Tuesday morning we drove up to Flag.
Played with Zane @ the snowbowl and dowtown.

Ack My Back
Well I'm kinda off schedule.
I had Poppy try and unpinch the nerve bundle in my back thats bothering me.
Maybe a bulging disc/ pinched nerve. LAME.
So I went for a swim

bad back crap
My back started bothering me after work the other night and I decided to take a small break.
Today I rode to clements but there was a class and was told the pool opened back up @ 6pm so I decided to go for a ride.
Total ride including round trip to the pool-
11.4 distance
time 44'43
max speed 28.3
avg speed 15.3
swim 200 warm up 500 or 600 lost track
25yardsx6 rest = to time per 25 yards.
100 yards x 2 same as above
some 50's
25 yards underwater.
then a few hundred yards cool down.
Not sure of tomorrows workout.

New shoes and working the night shift
Worked til 12am ish
got home and suited up.
I checked the mileage on my Irvington loop with the Jeep -it measures 10.5 ish.
So off I went new shoes and new shot rocks( weird protein thingys)
Not a bad run

then a loop around the block -11'28"35
total-2'05"37
I plan on excercises only tomorrow.
got home and suited up.

ouch
Shortly after my last run mom popped by with my new shoes from Zappos.
Got off work @1am.
Got home and decided to take em for a spin on the lakeside loop.
Nomally I wouldnt run again, twice in the same day.
My body disagrees with it.
I really wanted to test out the new shoes.
Long story short they feel ok, a little stiff, overall the footbed feels good.
I usually get neutral cushion shoes,these have just a little motion control.
My shins hurt pretty bad,
Usually happens when I run too much but have had shoes cause this problem. Tough to say @ this point.
They were rubbing @ first but after 3 minutes everything felt good.
I really felt like I was running fatigued.
