doing enough?
Kind of doubting myself. Just feeling a little under run trained.
I think overall my conditioning is good.
I just feel I'm not able to run enough to train for Javalina.
I'll admit I've gone about training for this run completely differently.
My body just won't tolerate me running very much.
So- run around the block 39'08"65
My whole body is STILL sore from death by etc...

lazy bones
ugg tired and lazy
so drove up for a swim
50 warm up
then 4 or 5 x 100
then a 5oo in like 8'35"
then a few 50's for cool down
ok I don't feel like running...
so 5 minutes death by squats(137 total)
into
5 minutes death by burpees(only 22 total my core and legs were toast)
I get to go to work now hooray!!!

About 1/2 mile left from the house I got a flat so I hopped off and tried to pump up the tire unfortunately the valve stem ripped off in my hand so I decided to walk the 1/2 mile home, no prob, It kinda killed my time/avg...well time to change into the running clothes.....

500 kept getting distracted by kids on the deck by my bag so I did a couple laps then started this 500 over.
then I stated doing a mix of hundreds and 50's
I swam for a long long time not really sure of total yardage.
also this was this first time I swam in my long john suit- very fast but the seams on the front shoulders kind a rub after an hour + although not a wetsuit very warm and fast suit.

Tired lately, not really wanting to run.
Just feeling worn out.
Out of gas. Out of luck out of....
SO I went for a swim this evening.
It was windy and cold so I decided to try out my new full length Tyr tights.
Well lets see-

When I hopped in the pool I wasnt expecting much out of full length tights.
I mean come on.
Well these things are the fastest I've worn or not worn in the water.
The proof is in my splits, every 100 yards I hit the lap button on my watch, although this kind of messes up my rhythm it does give me my split time, on a regular day wearing my thigh length jammers I can pretty much hit 1'40" comfortably on my long distance pace.
Well on my last 500 today I averaged below 1'30" per hundred.
I even had a 1'25" in there...
The tights seem to make me more aware of the water, you get kind of a feeling for it, you can tell when you get tired and your body starts to roll a bit or when your kick kind of wears out. Really strange.
The compression also seems to help with muscle fatigue.
Weird.

escalante by headlamp
Got home from work about 9pm....
Had P drop me @ the corner of Houghton and Escalante.
Ran escalante all the way to the entrance of Saguaro east.
Then turned around and ran back, P picked me back up at the corner.
40min42sec 4+miles roundtrip.

kind of crazy work schedule the next week, I may not be able to swim as much as I'd like....so

I felt really good no joint pain, just tired and a few hot spots on my feet.
Oh and I entered Old Pueblo 50, @ least Active said I'm entered and they took payment and gave me confirmation so......After javalina I'll take a short break from long runs then back to training.
