I'm ready for life in this city and.....

...my wings have grown almost enough to lift me.
My name stands for my being and my being stands for the woman who stood and braved the storm to raise the seedling. Brother sun, sister moon, mother beutiful.- Aesop Rock.

)7/23/07 Monday-
My lifes essence encaspulated in the soft glow of a head lamp. That sentence stayed trapped in my brain, not sure where it came from but I dont beleive it's my own- I can only see a short distance ahead; the reflective strips in my shoes shine and flash. Dodging rocks and keeping a lookout for snakes I head down the phoneline link to the picnic area and shuttle stop 2. I just bagged lower sabino to Blacketts ridge. I was hoping to snag the road all the way out . The quick sunset changed my plans and I brought out both my lights.( head lamp and mini hand held).

Dam it was pitch black, I almost stepped on a ton of these tiny frogs all over the road. I also saw a big ol' toad and a tarrantula! Total run time 2hours. Trails were tricky due to the rains. Slick rocks.

As if the run wasn't enough!

This was a a full workout. If I can push like this in a work out, I can put my body through anything... Anything. When it's game time I can double or triple my output over my training level. Things are getting a bit lonely, but, it may just be time to switch it up and climb for a few weeks. My goals are within reach, I'm going to keep this training regimen up heavy for at least 3 months.PRAY FOR SNOW IN AZ. THIS YEAR!!!
