now what

Just began warming up @ the climbing gym.
Started working a problem on the 45degree overhanging wall and snap

Tendon in the middle finger went.
Having done this before to other fingers, it feels like a grade 2- almost rupture.

Climbed @ the Matterhorn boulder.
Worked on the same problem for most of the day.

Stopped by the gym picked up Poppy a new pair of shoes and we bouldered a bit.

getting the most

This is the longest I've gone in 10 years without a pullup bar!
Well I ordered a perfect pullup about 1 week back and it finally arrived.
.........................So Poppy,Zane and I headed out to Gates pass and I bouldered for a while and P and Z scrambled and played and laughed @ dad.
I got much further on all of the problems I've been working.

Well inaugural night of the perfect pullup- This thing is cool because it swing/ pivots allowing you to do several different types of pull ups

Bouldered @ the pass for a while. Got a bit further on some of the problems I was working last time.

Was exploring out toward the west and up a non-trail when I felt something clamp down on the back of my leg in the bend directly behind my knee-cap.
I was sure something was biting me ...

Jumping cholla had wedged itself between my long shorts and the back of my leg.. Fighting the urge to swat it, I grabbed a long flat stone and pried it out of my leg and then out of my clothes....gnarly dude, I even yelped a bit, it surprised the hell out of me.
