10/11/o07-Went up to Babaat duat trail and ran for 1hr10min18sec. On the way up trail I ran 10 min and walked 1 min. For whatever reason I actually ran slower down hill . I think its cause the trail is pretty techcy and a little tougher to follow on the way out. Broke in the new shoes, not bad at all.
Before I left for Tahoe my uncle gave me some new balance 810's. They are a bit big but my feet tend to swell so they fit pretty good. They're brand new and I needed some new trail shoes. He wore them twice, they bother his feet. They havent even molded to anyones feet yet. My only complaint is they flex from left to right a little bit weird.
The plus side is they are neutral and are squishy.

I do not understand
So tuesday 10-09-07-afterwork a little past 12am I decided to go for a run. I guess standing on my feet for 11 hours just wasn't enough.
I again headed out 22nd to spanish trail rd. This time when I hit the park I turned around. I came out way way way to fast. I'm still running for 10minutes then walking for one. I was getting a little paranoid about mountain lions once I hit the city limits. I found it a little difficlut to focus at that point. All in all, awesome run.
Tough not to be disapointed with my total time. I felt much faster then this, then again I know I killed my time when I started looking behind me every 5 seconds. I do like this route because it is hilly in both directions.
total time 2hours00minutes 49seconds-2:00:49-not sure exactly how far this is but for posterity we'll call it 13+
It's funny I don't think I'm good @ anything. But I'm mediocre @ lot's of stuff. Also no matter what I do or how much I achieve it never seems to be enough for me. Ego? I don't compare myself to the achievment of others I compare me to me and I know I am capable of anything. Impossibility only happens in my life when I let it.
Push push push. No excuses, no more rationalizing, Just do it. Shut up and do it. No one is harder on me than myself thats cause I actually believe in myself no matter what. I sound like a self help book.
I've become impossible. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Rambling
Sunday 10/07/07-So after work I ran from my house down 22nd to Old spanish trail. I had arranged a ride to pick me up after about 1:hr30 min or so. Well my ride got a little lost. I ended up running 11 miles not sure of the time maybe a 1:35-1:40. I forgot to stop my watch as I was waiting for my ride. Nice run I really wanted to run this in 1:20 or 1:10.

Ouchy ouchy crunchy crunch
Wed -10/03/07-Afterwork I ran two full laps around the U of A- I erased my split but my time was something like 55 minutes. I'm still running for 10 minutes and speed walking for 1 minute.
Toward the end of my run I had a weird out of body experience, I felt the urge to just keep going and knew I could. I forced myself to stop because I dont want to damage myself. It hasnt even been a week since the triple and I've taken one rest day since.I really want to reap the benefits of all the miles I put in in the last week.

It all comes down to this
Well I had been on vacation for a few days and drove up to Tahoe for my run. After sitting in on the orientation meeting I decided to run the Tahoe triple Marathon. 3 marathons for 3 days straight.
Thursday September 27th- Well I ran my legs off. There was a hill that lasted from mile 20 to 26. We ran from the top of Zephyr cove around the lake to spooner summit. Most people were saying this was as tough as any trail run they had ever done. I ran it in 4hrs36min11sec.
Friday 28th- Not able to eat the night before, a little worried about this day. This leg started at spooner summit and ended in tahoe city. I got sick at mile 20 and ended up walking for days. Finished in 4hrss34min24secs. I just kept running faster.
Sat the 29th the final day and the main marathon- For the first 10 miles we ran in snow and ice. We started from Tahoe city and ran to pope beach. What was neat was we ran with a bunch of other people. The first 2 marathons were only those who were running the triple, about 150 people. The main marathon had a ton of people and at mile 13 the half marathoners join you and at mile 20 the 10kers join you so there was constant new blood. I could go on and on but just dont feeel like it. Finished in 4hrs27min34sec.
I felt that running the triple was much more difficult then running a 50 miler.
Others agreed with me
Out of the 150 runners that originally entered the triple not all finished. I finished 22nd.
I plan on doing this event next year. The first 2 marathons are a little disorganised. It is a real test of yourself and your determination. The trophy and sweatshirt that says survivor and singlet you get for finishing is really cool. When you cross the finish line you get a finisher medal put across your neck. Oh and a license plate holder that says 78.6 miles. The memories are pretty great too. I met and ran with some amazing people.
